HALO recognises that water is a precious commodity on farm and is often difficult and costly to obtain and store in sufficient quantity. Water usage is equally important as water wated can never be recovered and the costs associated with extraction and usage are expensive and not recovered. Best practice water management is important especially where water quality is an issue and a large investment is made in water purification.
HALO water system management is designed to make water extraction, usage, leak detection, compliance monitoring, and irrigation control easier for farmers.
Water use is monitored using a water flow meter which outputs flow in litres and/or rate of flow depending on the type of the water meter. Once this data is captured HALO outputs key water metrics, alerts and compliance information to the regulator.
HALO Systems have been installing flow meter monitoring for many years, we are confident the solutions we provide are robust and fit for purpose.

“As a farm manager, HALO makes the job easier at the farm. This means less time checking on staff, as we can access all info online. Everything is also on a dashboard so its easy to manage real-time information from one place. I also like that simple solutions can monitor very critical components such as water tank levels, farm gates, temperature and chemical levels. I like receiving alerts via email or SMS, and after a couple of months of using HALO, I was alerted to an issue at the farm, so it paid for itself quickly (within two months). Pricing is another factor; the subscription model means the annual amount is not overly expensive, and the savings outweigh that. For quality assurances and processes, HALO is good for intensive operations. Some farms may struggle in the future without a technology like this. Bigger corporate farms should be looking into this system, as well as younger generation farmers who like to be given the information on a tablet rather than having to go out and search for it.”
